Advisory

Practical advisory for founders building what comes next.

Growing a business means making decisions before you have all the answers. I work with founders and operators to clarify the next priority, work through difficult growth decisions and build an approach the team can execute.

I bring experience as a SourceDay co-founder and former CEO, a current operator and a board member. B2B SaaS and enterprise growth are areas where I go deep. I also work with founders in sports, consumer products and other sectors where focus, people and execution matter.

The decisions we can work on

Where founders bring me in.

Market and message

Who is your ideal customer, which personas care, and why will they pay to solve the problem now? We can define your ICP and buyer personas, then sharpen the value proposition and initial use case.

Sales and growth

Where do deals slow down? We can work through buyer roles, qualification, pipeline, forecasting and the transition from founder-led sales to a repeatable process.

Partners and channels

Partners are easy to sign and hard to enable. We can shape the partner offer, enable a focused group and build the motion around customer activity until it produces repeatable revenue.

People and execution

What needs to move off the founder’s plate? We can clarify responsibilities, hiring priorities, leadership expectations and a useful operating cadence.

Fundraising preparation

What must an investor understand and believe? We can refine the story, milestones, materials and process so the business is easier to evaluate.

Something else?

If the decision in front of you doesn’t fit a box, tell me about it. Most of the useful conversations start that way.

How I work

Start with the business as it is today.

We start with your customers, pipeline, team, constraints and the decision you need to make. Then we agree on the work, who owns it and what progress should look like.

Depending on the need, I can serve as a sounding board or work alongside the team on a defined priority. Expect direct questions, practical choices and a willingness to get into the details.

I build with AI every week, from prototypes shipped in an evening to automated development and go-to-market workflows, so I bring current, hands-on judgment to the founders I advise. See what I’ve built →

Ways to work together

Focused working session

A specific decision, an outside perspective and clear next actions.

Ongoing founder advisory

Regular conversations, decision support and accountability as priorities evolve.

Defined growth engagement

Hands-on work around a specific need, such as a partner motion, sales process or growth plan, with an agreed scope and review point.

Scope, timing and fees are agreed together after an initial conversation.

How I think about it

Lessons I come back to often.

Define who cares and why they’ll pay
Before anything else, get specific about your ideal customer profile and the personas inside it: who feels the problem, who owns the budget and why they’ll pay to solve it now. If you can’t answer that crisply, every decision downstream gets harder.
Diagnose the buying reason
Before adding more sales activity, understand why customers buy and where decisions stall. Different use cases can involve different buyers, budgets and urgency. Start there, then build the operating rhythm around what actually moves revenue.
Earn the partner motion
Partners are easy to sign and hard to enable. Turning one into a consistent revenue producer takes real work: a clear offer, enablement, joint selling and a focused group to prove it with. Once the motion works, partners can become your strongest top-of-funnel driver, often with a higher close rate.
Make growth repeatable
A strong demo can create interest, but a buyer still needs a reason to act and a workable implementation path. Start with a valuable use case, keep delivery repeatable and expand when the customer has evidence that it works.

Experience behind the advice

Founder, CEO, board member and still building.

I co-founded SourceDay with Clint McRee and led it as CEO through customer discovery, founder-led selling, enterprise buying cycles, integrations, capital raising and team growth. The company raised $60M+ across that journey, and I now serve on its Board of Directors.

Before that, I launched RightGift in 2008 and watched our customers pivot the business toward nonprofits. Today I lead Bryte Light, build consumer apps and a family brand, and advise The Soccer Movement and EcoPulse.
